The last three Tarot cards from the second row of seven, followed by the first three cards on the third row of seven.
We are seeing a parallel pattern expressed in these two rows. In the first column, the Suspended Man and The Devil cards represent the Corona virus. Card 12 is Neptune, which rules, among other things, disease. It limits our movements putting us in a passive state (in bed). He is isolated, that is, practicing social distancing.
For many, this leads to the following card, Death. Look at it this way, the river is our spirit, which never dies. It just flows on, past the drama on the shore. It flows into the rising sun/son, giving us a hint about the next card, Temperance, a card of resurrection. The Angelic being has risen from the waters at his feet, the waters from the previous card.
We move from card 13 to card 14. Water is viewed as a portal, connecting cards together. We see water again on the Card below, The Star.
In life, at some point, we drop the water body (our bodies are mostly water), and arise in our fire body, our Light Body. This is the endless cycle of death and resurrection, the cycle of water and fire.
The Temperance card shows water lifted up, to the height of the crown. Through the Spirit, we can reach the mountain peak, and beyond.
The bottom row of cards also begins in a limiting space, hell. Some may blame a ‘devil’ for this misfortune, but one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse is ‘pestilence.’ What can be done? The Tower card suggests isolation and purification. It suggests new ideas will correct false thinking. Fear is false thinking. Even death is false thinking. Above the Tower card is the card Death. The Tower card is not death, just a mental cleansing.
What is the outcome of these events? The Star card is Aquarius, the name of the Age we are entering. It is a peaceful place, beyond the stresses of the Tower. It has resolved the great division in our consciousness. The false ideas of duality are no more. Good and evil, life and death, are all constructs of the mind. All of that is external. The Star brings us to what is within us, not within our body, within our Self.
The Star card illustrates the same water, found on the Death and Temperance cards. She pours water on the earth, reuniting spirit and matter, reestablishing the balance.
In this mash-up image, we see how the Star modifies the Devil. The focus has moved from the devil-head to the heart center (head of the Star). The waters are poured on the couple, cleansing them. She has also descended to one knee (Capricorn, the Devil), a humbling position.
The problem is gross, the cure is subtle. Once the Tower has destroyed the error, we begin again. This time however, we must draw from Spirit in our rebuilding. This creates a new foundation, for new life in a new age.
